If you answered yes to any of the above, ActX may be a good choice.
"I had a meeting with my physician and we went over all my ActX results. I found it fascinating and I only wish I'd had the information sooner in my life. There is a lot of valuable info available. I am especially pleased my physician is able to track possible reactions with medications."

ActX will only disclose your genomic information to the groups of healthcare providers that you select, unless you expressly authorize ActX to do otherwise. Your genomic information can help your physician and other health care providers make better informed decisions about your medical treatment and care plans.
If authorized by you, your genomic information may be used for research purposes by clinical researchers and other organizations. In that case your personally identifiable non genetic information will first be removed from the data and your remaining data will be used as part of grouped genetic and health data. In addition, the researchers will need to agree to not attempt to re-identify your genomic information.
ActX will not use identifiable genomic information for ActX's own purposes, and will not disclose it to third parties or governmental agencies for purposes such as marketing or monitoring. For more information about the use and disclosure of Genomic Information please see our Privacy Policy.
Your results will normally be ready in 30-60 days from the time you send in your saliva sample.
Our lab does the DNA extraction on the samples it has received approximately every 3 weeks. Once the mapping is complete there are several days of checks to validate the quality of the results. After the quality checks are complete, you and your physician will be notified that your results are ready via email.
Our focus during testing is only on actionable genetic risks. If the lab discovers that your genetics may affect a certain medication or that you may be predisposed to a serious risk, you will be provided with a description that includes potential actions that you can take to reduce your risk. Your test results also show you your estimated risk in a percentage, along with the description of the variant.
Remember to discuss your results with your physician, especially if you have any concerns. They will be able to advise you of the best course of action.
We are all unique individuals. Any risks identified by your ActX genetic profile do not automatically mean your family members have the same risks. If you are concerned about risks in your family, consult your healthcare provider.
